We loved the room with balcony on third floor (beautiful views), fresh bread, sink/kitchen to cook and fridge space. Joel and family took time to greet us - it was nice to meet his family. Not only were they warm and welcoming, but very helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Joel and Bruno were excellent hosts, and we had the family suite of the vella with beautiful views of São Martinho and the Atlantic Ocean. The housecleaning was impeccable with the apartment always feeling clean, and the daily bread was a nice touch.
The wine on arrival and the gift of a bottle of wine on leaving were really appreciated.
All in all an excellent stay, with beautiful views, and very good hosts

Host was very friendly and helpful. He and other staff were always couteous and happy. He shared Port wine with us on multiple occasions. The location was very close to beaqches and had a great ocean view.
We happened to arrive on one of the hottest days on record and ther was no Air Conditioning. It is understandable for Madeira, but it was pretty hot in the room. We used a fan to improve the situation.

Joel and his son Bruno were incredibly kind and helpful. They arranged airport transfers for us both on arrival and on the day of our departure. They also recommended some great places to have lunch. Joel treated me to some wonderful Madeira wine. 😊
The room was very clean, with daily housekeeping. And the view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. Every morning, we were given fresh bread.
