Clayton Hotel Burlington Road

We enjoyed our stay. Great location & very comfortable. Friendly & helpful staff.

I have stayed in many of the Clayton hotels in the city but this one is my favourite so far. It seems to be very modern. The room had more premium King koil mattresses compared to some Claytons and also Down duvets and pillows, extremely comfortable. The rooms were a generous size and had a mini fridge and bathroom with a large table sink, plenty of room for everything. Showers were ok and the AC worked well. Staff were very helpful. Nice reception area and easy taxi pick up area. There is a Airport bus right outside the hotel.

The parking was a bit of an issue. There is just not enough spaces overground on a Friday/Saturday night so if you arrive late or you are out for the day you won't find a spot. There is still space in the underground but it was very tight to get in and out of and I would have rather not needed to use it. The underground also does not have a lift to the hotel like some claytons so it was a long walk up stairs and back across the car park with my bags.

Tea was lovely & hot, nicely brewed. Staff were friendly & helpful. There was plenty of choice of food available.

Mushrooms were not hot or cooked enough for my liking & I didn't like the particular seasoning.
