Kilkenny River Court Hotel

Great Location, very comfortable and good overall breakfast.

Lacking charging points in the room on the bedside tables

Location was great! Right in the heart of Kilkenny, with a great view of Kilkenny Castle right across the river from hotel. You could walk to most places of interest. Breakfast was good, too. Staff very friendly and nice.

Water pressure very poor in shower, and water was just a little bit better than lukewarm. If you used the knobs on the bathtub, to use that, it had great water pressure, but very strange trying to regulate the temp. Literally, one half of the spigot was hot water, and other side of the spigot cold. I was trying to rinse the conditioner out of my hair, under the spigot, was way too hot and ice cold, at the same time. Luckily we were there in the fall. No thermostat to regulate room temperature, but you are able to open the windows. They did have a fan in the closet, if you needed that. Keep in mind, it was on old hotel, and did have a lot of charm.

Needs TLC Not able to get a proper coffee in the morning, ie double espresso, which I thought was very poor!! So after 12:00 when the bar is open you could get a coffee, needed first thing in the morning, very sad.

Very friendly staff, great food, perfectly located in the city center and close to the main sightseeing areas.

Old, outdated hotel. No air conditioning and room was very warm and humid. No room safe, WIFI wasn’t available for several hours in our section of the hotel, no electrical outlet next to the bed to plug in phones, no fan in the bathroom to clear the shower steam away, and door to room was low quality as we heard so much noise from the hallway.
