Llanarmon is a chocolate box perfect village, and the Raven Inn is a big part of its charm. My room was perfect for what I wanted: location and value. I just wanted somewhere to sleep in that area. Getting a room above a pub can be a gamble as they can be noisy, but the Raven Inn was already pretty quiet by the time I had my dinner at 7pm (excellent steak and chips), and was totally silent by bedtime. I didn’t realise it was community-owned before I went. Fair play to them, it is a very nice pub.

The staff and the locals were very friendly, the food was excellent and the room was great, also very dog friendly. We had a great night's sleep and the area was very quiet.
Not much really to fault, maybe reserve a couple of parking spaces for the guests who are staying.

The room overall was well presented and bed comfortable. It's in a quiet location with parking immediately outside.
The welcome was quite poor unfortunately; I was ignored by staff behind the bar who appeared pre-occupied with other tasks and walked past me without even acknowledging my presence which only takes a moment, even if other matters are more pressing. A welcoming smile would have improved it all but instead I felt generally a bit awkward and as if my visit was an inconvenience, as with the limited dinner serving times which were quite abruptly described.
