Location is excellent. Free on street parking Powerful shower. Comfy bed. Good bedding and towels. Decent size room. Sockets next to mirrors.

Its a beautiful traditional hotel, but "dated room" shower door mouldy, shower head limed up. Carpet fraying. Bedroom window not double glazed.. over walkway to bar... so very noisy. Door rattled every time someone walked by. I thought a herd of elephants were in the room above. Noisy.. I know its old, but I could hear everything, even when they were cleaning the bar. Not much sleep. Some sound insulation was needed when they renovated. Clean, except around base of washbasin cupboard, dust and hair balls on the skirting. Washbasin in the room, toilet and shower in the tiny ensuite. Meal was so so, not worth the cost. Breakfast was "continental" cereal, yoghurt and fruit, tea and toast. Not good quality bread., no taste. Staff were lovely though. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I stayed here based on others reviews, which are obviously subjective, but personally feel this is a 2 / 3 star, and not superb, especially for the price, sorry.
