Alpenhotel Kronprinz

Nice traditional style hotel. Good location, just a walk away from the town centre. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The waitress brought us a slice of cake well after the kitchen had closed

We liked the room, the breathtaking view of the mountains, and breakfast. Loved the window versatility in ability to tilt the top open for fresh cool air.

The bathtub drain cover was stuck and was subsequently removed by staff. Taking a shower was awkward.

It is a beautiful authentic hotel and fantastic views from the hotel. The breakfast was great and the free drink was a nice touch.

Our room was nice but it faced onto the parking area and the lights come on automatically when there is motion outside and they are pretty bright so it wasn't the best sleep. We are not complainers so we did not mention it the next morning. You may want to install heavier curtains for any rooms facing the parking area.

When we were finally allocated a room that we had requested with a view, we thought the room was quite nice and the view was lovely.

There are number things we didn’t like. When we first arrived, even though we had requested a room with a view and a lift so we could move our luggage to our room we were given a room in the basement with no lift and expected to carry our two large suitcases down a number of stairs. Our dinner on the first night was pretty good. After breakfast on the second morning we requested to extend our stay for another night due to a change in our travel plans and at the same time we requested a dinner for that second night at 6:30 pm and we confirmed that dinner would be available. When we to dinner that night we were advised by Alex at Reception that he was advised there was no dinner available to us only for the guests from the 2 Coaches that were staying at our Hotel. We were advised we would have to go out to have dinner elsewhere! We advise the staff member that we were not happy about this as it was heavy rain and quite cold and we have been assured that dinner was available to us earlier that day to which he advised that he knew at 4:30 that same day that there would be no dinner available to us, but he had not bothered to contact us to let us know. We had no choice but to go out for dinner as no other resolution was available to us. Exactly the same thing happened on the third night of our visit. Only this time we were advised there was no staff until the following Tuesday to make dinner for us. We also discovered that our room had not been cleaned and no clean linen had been provided so we again attended reception to ask why and we were told we hadn’t put a sign on our door. After nearly 6 weeks of travel we had never put a sign on our door to ask for our room to be cleaned and had never experienced this issue at any other hotel on our trip. So we went out for dinner elsewhere and when we came back to this hotel we discovered numerous people in the dining room enjoying their dinner which for some reason was not available to us. Not a pleasant experience
