Tony at the front desk is a great asset to this property, and was very helpful when I made an oopsie and screwed up the mechanism in my window. He recommended an excellent Italian restaurant across the square where I must confess downing an entire, very excellent pizza. The room was spacious with a good view of the morning sun rising over Koblenz. The spacious bathroom was a welcome change from the telephone booth-sized shower I experienced in my London hotel the stop before Koblenz. The hotel's convenience right on the Bahnhofplatz across the side street from the main station was a huge plus. Walk out the station's front doors and the Best Price Hotel is just on your left. That's handy for taking day trips by regional train, which I did, and for accessing the Bus Terminal, a four-minute walk away, for local city transportation. The Best Price's breakfast is not as extensive as some German hotel breakfasts I've had, but was perfectly adequate and had a nice selection. The all-purpose breakfast drink machine was cool, offering a variety of cool coffee drinks, hot chocolate and hot water for tea, of which there is a great selection in the adjacent tea caddy. The restaurant on the hotel's ground floor serves great Rhenish regional cuisine, and for dessert, there's an excellent ice cream parlour on the other side of the building, also overlooking the square. The Löhrcenter shopping mall is a 15-minute stroll away and has a great, big ReWe grocery store which is fantastic for buying souvenirs such as chocolates to take home to the friend who's minding your dog and/or cat. With a 20-25 minute walk you're in Koblenz's vibrant, historic Altstadt area. I have found my new home in Koblenz for my next visit. And its consummate host is named Tony!

Oh, one hates to be picky. But since you asked... I've unfortunately reached that age where a couple grab bars in the shower and by the toilet would be nice. (When I first visited Koblenz 41 years ago I had slung a backpack on my back and was touring Europe with a Eurailpass. Now I tug a roll-along behind me, but I still use a railpass. Now it's called Interrail.) Also, on my last morning the hot cocoa selection in the cool coffee machine was on the fritz. Oh, woe is me! My vacation was ruined! Just kidding. It was no big deal. I had tea that morning. If I'd bothered notifying the attentive breakfast attendant, I'm sure she would've fixed it in a jiffy.

Central location to the train. Quiet despite being in a busy hub. Plenty of restaurants located nearby.

They clean the room without consent. They changed my Towels which was not on the floor. Options for vegetarian breakfast is very poor. Not even butter croissant was there..
