Great hotel and breakfast set in a beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was immaculate and comfortable.

Not a criticism but note that the only way up the hill is a long winding road or lots of steps. I didn't realise this so getting a pram and lots of bags up the stairs to the top of the hill was a minor mission. Would recommend a taxi or bus to the hotel rather than walking as we did (because I'm very very tight with money lol) if you have a lot of luggage.

The hotel is in a lovely quiet area of Buda (Pest is a lot busier). It is very comfortable, had everything we wanted eg lovely room, very quiet, great breakfast!! and the staff were wonderful. The hotel location was superb to explore the Castle, the Church, the Bastion etc so much to see. The 16 bus runs regularly (every 5 minutes) down to Pest side of Budapest. The transport links superb to and from airport. And being over 65 we travelled free everywhere. You must carry your passports to show when asked. We were there 5 nights and still need to go back to see the rest of Budapest and maybe more of Hungary.

Great location in the historic city center, and the breakfast was perfectly fine. The room was genuinely clean, housekeeping did a good job, and the bed linen and towels were changed regularly.

The room interior is very outdated and clearly needs renovation. The carpet had many stains, and the armchairs were visibly worn. These are things that cleaning can no longer fix. There is also basically no real lobby area — just the reception desk and a couple of chairs. So if you like sitting in the lobby with a cocktail, relaxing, or working on your laptop, that option is not really available here.
