Very good location: c.5 min walk from train station / from the Arno / a straight c.10 min walk into the Piazza Del Duomo; so while on the outskirts of the very crowded areas access is quick & easy. c.10 min drive (04:30 am) to airport - staff arranged the fixed rate taxi ride; taxi arrived on time & journey to airport was uneventful.
Room: While room may not be considered particularly spacious, the bed was comfortable & the shower / bathroom facilities were good. Safe & mini-fridge in room with points very accessible.
TV & air con didn’t appear work. No major issue as was hardly in room. P’haps quick to use notes for e.g. TV would be useful (though that applies to all hotels).

The Montreal Hotel is not very modern, but it have it's old-school charm. The personel is friendly and helpful. Our room was large enough. The balcony was a nice touch. I think I would return.
A limited number of electrical sockets in the room was a drawback.
