Cases de Son Barbassa Hotel & Restaurant

A hotel set on an olive estate in the middle of the countryside near some of the most beautiful towns of the island. We stayed for 3 nights. We were warmly welcomed by Doireann and shown to our spacious room, number 3. It was comfortable and kept cool by a/c. We relaxed by the swimming pool after a morning exploring the local sights eg Capdepera and Arta towns. We ate in the restaurant on 2 nights and found the food at dinner to be very good. The hotel was generally quiet and there were no children staying when we were there. Overall a high level of service from staff.

We really did not like the instruction not to put any items in the room fridge which was for mini bar alcohol sold by the hotel only. If we had been travelling with children, we would have needed access to a room fridge and here we would have been greatly disadvantaged, The notice said that staff were authorised to remove guest items from the room fridge. The breakfast was disappointing in terms of selection, times when items were not renewed and quality of produce. Our previous ( half the cost) finca made freshly cooked tortilla, squeezed oranges to order and rotated local, home cooked goods. This was more of a catering pack or supermarket selection and scrambled eggs tasted made from liquid egg from a carton. The hotel is located deep in the country and there is no shop or restaurant or town that you can walk to. It is not a full service hotel eg no staffed bar and not a working farm either apart from the olives.

Amazing! Location si great. Pool is amazing. Staff is super nice. Rooms are very cute. All is great.

A bit expensive but at least it’s worth it.

pool was very nice and the breakfast and dinner. restaurant staff also very nice.

reception service was a bit patchy and unfriendly and they initially put us in a very run down room with hardly any floor space and right next to the restaurant. they did however move us on day 2 to a lovely room with a beautiful terrace. The massage was quite basic - no music, old towels but ok. the hotel is nice but definitely needs an upgrade everything is a bit run down and lacking that extra touch that would you expect at this price and rating.
