Excellent breakfast relaxing lounge

I am a smoker as had a room almost as far as you could get from the front door which was a bit of a pain I also had an “anti man’ toilet seat the one that falls down when urinating

My room (225) unexpectedly had a balcony which I was not expecting and a bath tub which I had already asked for which was good 👍🏻

The steam room was out of order which was a shame. The jacuzzi jets weren’t particularly powerful. For £109 I would have liked breakfast to have been included in the room tariff.

The room was spacious and well equipped with tea & coffee facilities, complimentary water and biscuits etc. Breakfast was excellent. Noise level good with no disturbance through the night or early morning.

The bathroom only had half a light working so it was very dim in there. There was also a nasty whiff from the drains both my husband and I noticed.

Where to start really , reception staff unhelpful for example :- do you serve an evening meal ,er not sure ? Have you a menu , don’t know not my station . Both bath and sink blocked with hair , spare room key got taken by cleaning staff or someone meaning somebody had access but they didn’t know who . Asked for another key but on reflection the code should have been completely changed given recent travelodge case . Poor breakfast screamed at it coming by a member of staff . Second key card didn’t work and went to get it re activated and got asked what’s up now , keys not working again ! Tut! Pool attendants would rather watch tv or phone rather than actually help
