The Gateway Hotel

Location was excellent and staff were attentive. Drinks selection was good and bed was comfortable enough.

Shower wasn’t fully working (temp controls didn’t work properly but water pressure was okay) and noise was an issue due to thin walls although earplugs were already provided to remedy this.

Pleasant hotel with very smooth self-checkin and checkout processes. Room had everything you need for a short stay, was nice and clean with comfortable bed.

I had a basement room so the view was just a wall with a light shining outside the window, but I could block this out with the curtains so not a problem. The TV didn’t work (no signal) but I wasn’t really using it, so it didn’t impact the quality of the stay.

Friendly and helpful staff

Not a very good offer on the discount I asked for, since I was leaving a bit later for the airport but not staying the night. I paid more than I paid for the whole night of the night before and I only stayed 4 hrs after check out.

Is is good location, close to tube station; Staff was friendly, warm and clean

this is adapted Victorian house I believe - pre-existing room were split in half and extra doors were introduced with minimal passage (like a lock), getting into room with a bag, required some gymnastics; room was really small, the area around the bed is roughly 1m wide, so technically bed is the room; street noise is acceptable, and owners can do nothing about it, but fridge is constantly buzzing, jumping, burping - this was waking my up whole night
