Fabulous location, very clean and comfortable. It had a lift which made life a lot easier being on the 2nd floor. Very dog friendly, all the staff we met were very helpful and friendly.
We paid £9.50 for the cooked breakfast, which was not freshly cooked, it looked like it had been kept warm for a while.

Second visit to Friars Carse Hotel. It’s a favourite place of mine to visit. The grounds are stunning with the River Nith in front of the hotel. Beautiful walks beside the river with lovely old trees along the way.
Everything is beautiful

Building and grounds beautiful.
All areas dated and in need of decorating. Bar had no real beer choices. Restaurant had no traditional Scottish food, but instead a hugely overcomplicated confusing mish mash of Asian only. Staff nice enough. At breakfast the coffee was not much more than warm water - either the plunger had been pressed instantly or there had been next to no grounds in the pot - this was actually my instant reason not to order a cooked breakfast for an additional fee.
