Inturotel Esmeralda Garden

Everything was great. Pool, cleanliness. Location was superb, easy walking to beach and the lively town centre. The hotel is located in a very quiet area. However, before arriving we were concerned about the noise from the Karaoke bar across the street, but his closes at midnight and we were never back from the town centre before then

Pool towels were a bit of a faff, €15 deposit per person and €1.75 per day but the towels were often stained and looked old. I’d seriously consider upgrading to the same towels Intrurotel Esmerelda Park (red striped) as it does make the experience feel less ‘luxury’. Karaoke bar loud until midnight but we went expecting this - got to laugh along at least! Air con cut out one night and it was very very hot, controls for this also looked ancient but when working was effective. Information about local buses or places to go wouldn’t go amiss displayed at reception too.

the free parking was a great bonus, housekeeping did a great job, and the ability to shower after you check out (in case you want to go to the beach) was super convenient and appreciated. the sweet woman at the front desk who was named after a flower (i cannot remember the name ugh!) was very kind to me and a redeeming part of my experience.

i think i got stuck in the worst room they have which was a bummer for how much i paid it felt very overpriced. the staff were very unhelpful and kind of treated me weird (looking at you middle aged man at front desk). the first night i got in very late after a long travel day and the AC/fan was broken in my room. at first the guy didn’t believe me and told me that’s how the hotel rooms are and to deal with it because it was cooler that day in mallorca anyways. when i asked if they have extra fans, he laughed at me and was just very dismissive of my concerns. then he knocked on my door and decided to inspect the AC and realized it was broken, and sent someone who couldn’t fix it. the repair guy was very nice to me at least. the next day it was fixed which was appreciated, but i did not feel listened to/cared for by the front desk necessarily. they did nothing to make up for this experience. also the room was very dated and kind of felt gross even though it was cleaned. it was kind of giving really old dorm room vibes. which doesn’t match the price at all haha. also the shower head would fall off everything i turned off the water and nearly hit me. seems like the facilities need a big makeover; they seemed to have updated the grounds/lobby but not the actual interior in a long time. they also advertise continental breakfast by the pool but it was very disappointing, you to pay for it and there were only 3 set packages so if you just wanted a croissant or fruit they couldn’t accommodate you or substitute anything. also super disappointing you had to rent beach towels while you were there as that should have been included for the price.
