Marine Hotel

Great location. Parking included. Helpful staff.

Some areas of the property are a little outdated , however, there was some work ongoing at the property during my stay.

The location, the beach, the views!!

We had dinner at the hotel (5 of us) and no one really enjoyed the food.

Almost everything. The swimming pool, sauna, and steam room were a perfect antidote for the weather and a great bonus. The hotel is beautifully decorated with nooks of comfortable seating for relaxing or downtime. The buffet breakfast was ample and fresh, with coffee to order. Excellent facilities, friendly staff, and a lovely sense of antiquity restored. The Marine Hotel was excellent value. The DART link to Dublin center was easy walking distance from the hotel, frequent and affordable.

Nothing. Everything was grand.

Dinner was one of the best we had in our entire 10 day stay in Ireland. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Bed was comfy. View was spectacular. Nice touches like outlets and sconces as well as reading lights on both sides of the bed, nightlight in the bathroom.

Hotel inside feels very old and dated. Pool felt like we were in Iron Curtain era, stark and uninviting, just 2 little white plastic stacking chairs for everyone. And it was quite cold. It's definitely a pool for just exercise not to relax in. I'm sorry, completely opposite of dinner, breakfast was the worst we experienced in our trip. It was plentiful but everything was sort of lukewarm and soggy. The pastries had zero crispness, the eggs were rubber, the bacon was so soft and soggy. There was plenty of it but it just felt like we were in an aging Motel while paying top prices even though it was off season. The nightly price here rivaled the Castle we stayed in the night before so I guess we expected a little more. Not having visited this hotel before we were unprepared for the forever walk to our room. We get it, it's because we had booked a guaranteed Seaview, so it was on the opposite side of the hotel from the reception.
