Having to pay for parking in hotel car park

We have stayed here many times. The location is perfect and staff are friendly.

The room was a little tired. The carpet had old stains and I caught my foot on the bracket connecting the beds to create a double bed. There was no glass/beaker in the bathroom. The bed also wasn’t as comfortable as we have had before. Our room was next to the outside ventilation unit which was noisy. Also room 100 was next to the door leading onto our landing which was noisy when hotel guests returned at midnight and chatted outside our room and also allowed their own room doors to slam shut.

The area was quiet and peaceful, the hotel was within walking distance of the beach, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is old and poorly maintained, which was disappointing. The mattress was uncomfortable. There were signs of mould in the bathroom, and the carpet was stained. The doors in the shared hallway were scratched and worn, creating an unpleasant first impression. The biggest disappointment was the view from the window – most of it was blocked by a wall, making the room feel dark and enclosed.
