The location and the spa.
Originally I was shown to a room with hardly any natural light. Even though it was described as a superior double room.
But after telling reception that I wasn’t thrilled with the room they gave me a much better one at no extra charge.

Relaxation room, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room
Water flood on the floor outside sauna and steam room. Jacuzzi wasn't hot enough. Limescale on bath tap and on silicone and water leaking from our corridor ceiling

Location was perfect, room was very nice and easily accessible for my partner who is not able to do stairs. Food in the restaurant was good. Some staff were more attentive than others. Decor through out was very good, Spa was lovely but quite small. Fortunately there were not many people staying Thurs/Fri/Sat when we went in early September
I did not like that the spa was shared with non hotel users / members, I would happily return for a weekday visit but not weekend as on the Saturday my morning swim & sauna was overshadowed by loud children swimming with their parents.

Location, restaurant and comfy bed
Spa was not good value- paid £25 pp to gain early access- outdoor hydropool was cold- one of the two hot tubs was closed- the floor was soaking wet- so slippers etc were drenched.
The rubbish from Housekeeping was stacked in the hallways- so our first impression on the way to the room was bags and bags of rubbish, dirty sheets, room service plates just stacked everywhere.
