Fantastic room

Room too hot . Couldn't get aircon to work so opened windows . Very noisy in street below late on a Friday night !

Location in centre of town and near train station. Comfortable room, welcoming staff.

Sauna and steam room were closed.

Location was good. Clean and bright entrance. Reception staff was really kind. Clean room and bath room. The room as a whole was really good and spacious. We had everything we wanted. Except for breakfast and the room door tightness we had a good experience. We stay in Reading few times a month and this is the 1st time we booked Novotel. The hotel was a good experience relatively except for the breakfast.

On Tuesday, The Eastern European lady who was wearing white converse shoes, on breakfast duty was mortifying. She acted like no one else is above her. Was not welcoming at all. Food was truely tasteless. Sugar, coffee mugs, tongs, jam, sliced bread, weren't available by 9.30. Breakfast must be available until 10. The whole breakfast experience overall a was disaster. Vegetarian sausages were disgusting. Smelled like sombebody sprayed bleach on it. Sinks were taking forever to drain the water. Bathroom's floor tiles were extremely slipery when it was wet. And also not very spacious bathrooms. Doors are really tight. Multiple room numbers on the doors have damaged. Or missing.
