Hostal Lausanne

Very well located, close to the beach and the old city. The restaurant at the base of this building has been owned by the family for more than 30 years. During the pandemic, they started this crazy project of creating an hotel on top. It has been opened for about a year. Rooms are modern, extremely clean and offer most commodities. There’s even a small pool on the rooftop. The restaurant offers both a generous breakfast and dinner, with Catalan inspired food on the menu. Special mention for Jonas, the manager, that is so friendly and has an incredible energy and positive vibe. Merci pour tout Jonas!

Front desk was a bit noisy and my room was right by the desk. Buzzer for entry to the building should be quieter

It was very well located, the staff was as friendly as possible and the room was super clean.

It was quite noisy as you could hear everything that was going on in the hallway, including doors closing, suitcases coming and going, people talking which made resting a little hard, but it’s to be expected in a hostel. However, something I’d take into consideration, at least requesting to not have a room right in the middle if possible.

Location is great. The facility is clean. The WiFi worked great. Most of the staff was nice. The overnite staff was horrendous.

Very loud at nite. No carpets so the wood floors make a lot of noise. You have to leave your key with the front desk which I also didn’t like. There’s was no kitchen. There was no coffee or tea offered in the morning. It seems like a new place rand is a money grab. It cost me 100 euros per night for a private room and you need to walk into the reception to get to the showers and bathrooms. There are many better hostels to stay at in Barcelona that offer a lot of amenities and are quiet. I didn’t sleep well at all because of the noise.
