Frogner House - Skovveien

Loved absolute everything! Spacious room, comfortable bed and warm blanket, sockets near the bed, which was extremely needed after long walking days, clean bathroom, all the kitchen amenities, which made comfortable to have meal sometimes at the hotel. Self-service check-in and check-out is also great, no need for fuss. Another special love for free laundry room, which is a great advantage of this apartment. The whole impressions from the Frogner House Apartments is absolutely stunning! Definitely will come again to Oslo! Beautiful and clean city!

Absolutely nothing!

Frogner House is an elegant old building which has been modernised to a high standard, it is close to the centre and the neighbourhood is well catered for in terms of a large supermarket and a range of eating places. The room was a good size with all the facilities you would expect in a boutique style hotel the bed was large and comfortable and there was ample hanging space for clothes etc.

We did find it a bit hot in the room and there was no thermostat allowing you to adjust the temperature, so we ended-up opening the window which wasn't ideal as we faced the main street and there is a bar across the road. I also had issues with the shower as the floor felt slippy underfoot and I would have like a rubber mat but there wasn't one available.

Location was perfect. So central. The property was clean and comfortable.

Bed was comfy and bathroom clean and new.

Virtually no power points, dingy/tired hallways and common areas, no staff/robot checkin and needed someone (another guest) to come out for us to get in - the intercom was in Norwegian and we didn't understand a word. Once inside we managed to get our door cards via the check-in machine as instructed by emailed check-in procedure using g provided code. Our room looked out onto the internal courtyard where kitchen staff from adjacent restaurants regularly stepped out to smoke with the smoke entering our room. Overpriced for such a tired stale place. Fantastic location is the only consolation.
