Modern. Good breakfast.

Some comments suggest we saw said you could walk into town, but we ended up driving. However there is a lot of parking.

The room was modern and clean with good ensuite facilities and ample parking beside the hotel. The hotel is situated in a pleasant area in the countryside, with views to the mountains and is not far from the main town (probably best by taxi or car). The spa facilities were welcome after a long ferry crossing to Santander, provided at extra cost in our booking.

The hotel restaurant was not serving dinner, but we enjoyed going out to local restaurants in Ribadesella. The "contrast showers" in the spa did not work easily, but everything else in the spa was good.

All staff we encountered were lovely. Hotel is ideal for people with disabilities. They have 2 fully disabled adapted bedrooms My wife is partially disabled and room 110, direct out of the lift beside reception, with a wide door, was ideal for someone in a wheelchair. We were allowed to park right outside reception - about 20ft from reception via automatic doors with only a slight ramp to navigate. Reception, breakfast, dining room and bar all have a flat continuos floor. The bathroom was a full wet room. Access to the personal patio area was through patio doors with a flush floor. A fridge was supplied with complimentary water, refreshed daily.

No UK television; only Spanish. Breakfast was a bit pricey 9EU for a croissant or pastry, orange juice, 1 round of toast and condiment, tea or coffee. 20EU to use the Spa facilities while only there for 2 days - should be free as a hotel guest. Restaurant was closed.
