Auldington Hotel

Great location provided easy access to local attractions.

We arrived early. Our own fault. Initial reception from young staff member was great and indicated no problem. A clearly stressed older staff member scolded the young employee in front of us and said no accomodation available until an hour later. We opted to sit in our car to wait. Saw several arrivals go in and not get rebuffed - they may have been guests who were already staying there. No problems later when we went in again and staff were very accommodating, including taking a heavy bag upstairs to our room. The lift was out of order.

location excellent, rooms smallish but good value.

shower internal floor was a bit slippery

Cleanliness, approachable staff and near to the tourist attractions and cafe

None

Room was spacious, but the lift was out of action (not listed on Booking.com) & it required walking up 40 stairs. In our 70’s it was difficult.

The stairs & no breakfast was offered.
