Not that it was a big deal for us, but rooms are small.

Location and comfortable

TV didn’t work well, channel 9 work. We were there for the footy and channel 7 didn’t work. Fridge wasn’t cold.

The location in Carlton and on Swanston Street was good. it was close to Melbourne City Baths and a nice pub in the Oxford Scholar. It was also just outside the free tram grid but easy walking distance. You also get what you pay for.

I quickly discovered that the hotel component seemed to be a side hustle with the majority of the hotel uni student discount long term. I went to look at the pool. It had green algae in it. The roll down blind is about 6 inches below the window height. Perhaps the manager should try and sleep. in the room to see how much light gets in. I asked for the Tv remote to be fixed on Friday. Maintenance came on Saturday morning. He said it was a connection problem which was what the reception desk said the night before. Then the maintenance guy had a phone call while in my room and was confirming when his ‘friend’ was arriving. He said he’d be back in half an hour with a remote that works. An hour of waiting and I gave up. I didn’t come to Melbourne to be stuck in this ‘hotel’.
