Smart Russell Square

Smooth check in process; great location; close to the Underground; clean room and facilities; ac unit in the room helped with humidity and overall temperature, especially for evenings and sleeping comfortably

Making your own bed at 11pm without waking others is rather difficult to do, though from previous stays here I knew I'd have to do it....doesn't mean I have to like it.

The staff were very friendly and Gaser isabla especially supported with helping me resolve a quick query of not having enough bedding!

I didn’t like that the top bunk was difficult to climb onto and also no fresh towels or clean sheets every morning

The location. Bloomsbury is a cultural and Nice place, near from the all atractions in London

The space in the rooms are too short. The bunks as well has no much space between lowers and Uppers. The Kitchen is small in order of the people in the hostel.

Very central location. Good transport links. Large kitchen and common area.

Very run down in some areas. Bathroom facilities inside room had no ventilation so smelt stale and mouldy. Lots of moisture and condensation. They have triple bunk beds in the dorms. These are unusable for anything apart from sleeping. You cannot put your belongings down on them, pack your bag on them or sit on them as too high. Rooms were so cramped with no space to get ready for the day. One tiny bench to put on shoes. Shower had no shelves to put your things, only a single hook to hang something. Sink was so small and under a shelf that you couldn’t even use it to wash your face. It wasn’t until the next day that I saw the communal facilities were much better. They should tell you that when you check in but they don’t. They didn’t even give me a sheet for the bed. I had to go back downstairs for one. They also charge for towels which is unreasonable. If you are staying the night, you need a shower. I have stayed in many hostels over the years and this design was very poor for the number of people.
