Very good hostel, spacious building and rooms were cleaned regularly. There are also weekly events such as pasta and Pisco night! Awesome for interacting with other guests.
My friend went through a situation in which a male guest came into their female room more than once. Perhaps improving safety measures for female guests would be ideal.

The staff were incredibly helpful and nice. The hostel itself is in a great location, and they have social things to do a few times a week which was great for meeting people! The room was clean and exactly as advertised
The only thing I didn't like was that my balcony door didn't open, so I didn't get any fresh air/ventilation but that wasn't a problem just something I noticed. Also not a problem for me but there's only a few hooks to put your things so you can't unpack much.

Location is really good, close to the metro and open 24 hours. The guy and the lady with short hair at the front desk are very kind.
Imagine arriving from an international flight in Santiago and your hostel only accepts USD, CLP, and credit cards. You don't have any, so you ask for a place to exchange EUR (Your country's cards don't work). Someone at the front desk sends you to a street that's 35 minutes away on foot, only to find everything closed. They will tell you they "only know locations, don't know opening hours". Isn't that part of a receptionist's job? I offered to leave the EUR as a guarantee, and they didn't let me check in until I paid, even when my card was taken from Booking (!!!). Having no options, tired, sleepy, with no cash even for food... it was a terrible first encounter. The same staff didn't allow me to use a shower after I checked out, which is something a lot of hostels offer. I would have paid for it, but I received a flat no.
Also, the doors in the bathrooms are old and don't close properly. The lockers at the dorms are made out of wood with a lot of slits that make opening possible. I had no hot water in the shower once.
The other receptionists made my stay so much better!
