Generator Copenhagen

Location was great - easy to find and really handy for Metro and central Copenhagen. There is a relaxed and friendly vibe to the place. The room was clean and neat - beds were fine and the shower was good. It was quiet and peaceful - no noise - and did us well for the night we were staying in the city.

The listing was for a budget hotel but in reality its a hostel. Its a great find for independent travellers but not quite what I was expecting travelling with my son.

Location is excellent, just a short walk from Kongens Nytorv Station, M2 Yellow Line. Everything in the city is close to the hostel. Beds are really commfortable, 8 bed room was spacious enough, clean with the restroom, extra sink and two showers right in it. Having your own lock and towel may be helpful, but everyone looked normal and friendly when I was there. Both are available for extra fees. Bar was open till 1 am

I cannot think of anything that was worth mentioniong as negative. It is a hostel after all.

Fortunately, my roommates were nice, cool people. The staff were helpful and very kind.

There's too little space in the room for the amount of people it accommodates. I reserved a lower bed in advance, but at the time of check-in there weren't any available. It's quite difficult for an older person to climb up and down from the upper bed, especially in the middle of the night when there's a need for a toilet. The toilet and the bathroom are both quite tiny, without proper ventilation. The noise from outside under the windows was too loud at night, even though I was in a room on the 5th floor, and it's not possible to sleep. I can go on, but I am choosing to move on and forget about this weekend.

Location is good.

Main elevator was broken all the time, so all guests were using the one small small at the back of hotel often making people climb with the suitcases by stairs on the 6th floor - as it was impossible to wait that long. Very noisy during the night regardless of the time, people were partying almost all night. TV in the room did not worked, not even connected. We were offered to change the room but it was not worth the trouble. Radiator not working properly- although they offered an extra heater. After check out at 10am you had to pay for a locker to leave your things, if you were waiting longer for your flight. Even though we had a “kings” room it felt very basic. Towels and cleaning were only provided when you request.
