We had a newly decorated room and an excellent evening meal in the dining room - Lincolnshire sausage and mash. The staff were friendly and efficient. The chef took time to talk to us the following morning at breakfast.We liked the history of the Inn and we stopped for lunch on our way home a week later. It was good to see the chef again,who came to chat.

Lovely building dating back to 1492. Loved staying in such an old building. Staff were very helpful and chatted about the property. Good range of draughty beers and bar in general.

It was easy to find
The hotel and bar are run by a family and they have young children who use the restaurant as their living room. The kids did there homework there and they were behind the bar with their parent. I decided to sit in the bar which had quite a few locals which felt more comfortable that the restaurant. I went to breakfast and I was the only person there and had to wait for five minutes before a staff member arrived who I think was the cook. The whole place seemed quite unprofessional
