Hotel Nova Sintra - Adults only

The best father and son team. It was such a treat to stay there. Rue is filled with great humour and makes everyone feel at home along with his lovely son Amadeu. Breakfast is everything you could ask for . We would stay there again in a heartbeat !

This hotel was so wonderful and not to mention, it is run by such lovely kind, attentive people. As someone who has traveled all over the world and very picky with my hotels, my stay truly exceeded every expectation. From it being extremely clean, to the perfect water pressure, to being quiet at night. And the breakfast spread was fresh and full of variety. It was the perfect stay. You won't get a better location, accommodation or service elsewhere. Many thanks to Rui and his son!! I can't wait to be back!!

Rui the owner and his son were just great hosts. Because of this, I rated the hotel higher than I would have otherwise. Breakfasts were good. Either Rui or his son would be taking care of the breakfast. Rui was just great. Such a wonderful host. The rooms are small, but they got the job done. Bathroom was good with good water pressure. The location, in my opinion, is great. The reason is because we had a rental car and the hotel is close to a big public parking lot that is free to use. That was a big plus. As you get closer to the heart of old Sintra, the cars just had a heck of a time with the crowds. So glad we picked where we did. It was actually a nice walk from the hotel to the old Sintra. You just have to realize that this hotel is old and has been around since, I believe the early 1950's. Rui took over from his grandfather and now his son will be taking it over once Rui retires. A note - Rui gave us an idea on how to drive to Cascais....he recommended going the route over by the sea and going to Cabo Rojas...what an excellent idea. Loved the drive.
