Guangzhou Yuwa Hotel

The room was really spacious with a small kitchen and a balcony. The couch and living room table are pretty comfy to do some work. They give you fresh fruits every day in your room and the staff is nice. There is also a iron in the room. You can wash your laundry for free in the laundry room. There is a small cafe in the hotel where they provide free pastries every day. My stay was during the world cup and they played the games every day which was nice. There are many restaurants and cafes around the hotel. When I booked the room on booking, the website notified me that there wasn’t a toilet in the room that I booked (I chose the cheapest room type) but there was an error because there was a toilet and shower in the room.

The location is pretty far from the metro station but there is a bus station very close.

Perfectly nice hotel. Very clean and spacious room. Bed was rather firm, but plenty of pillows, plenty of water, plenty of towels and a nice bathtub/shower.

Guangzhou is, meh. Saw Shaimen Island, saw the tower, whooptie doo. Nearby beaches are better if you can get to them and stay for the weekend.

Convenient to a lot of shops and the apartment was clean. The cleaning lady to Room B802 was wonderful, we loved her.

One of the male staff at the onsite Japanese restaurant was really rude to my elderly mother, making her wait 40 minutes for a bowl of ramen while others who came later were served. She was alone and had to ask multiple times to get her food. The hotel offered as an apology a free bowl of ramen next time we dine there, and I did not think it was an adequate or sincere gesture so we turned it down. The dryer in our unit was also essentially useless. We had to dry our clothes the old fashioned way by putting them out in the balcony. Luckily it was sunny during our stay. The hotel dryers were not much better.

The breakfast is good and very clean
