Arabella Azur Resort

We had a great room (202) with sea view, it was clean, quiet. The food was ok, though more choice of seafood would be better. There is a reef beach where you can snorkel and see some nice corals and fish. The resort is huge which we liked. Plenty of restaurants, bars, billiard, gym, etc.

We only spent 3 nights here but could already feel the food taste is a bit too repetitive. I think the choice could be expanded. Generally the staff is friendly but some of the restaurant cooks are acting like they are a pharaoh and you should beg them for food or that you are somehow annoying them (hello pasta guy and shrimps distributor guy). The guy will only give you two shrimps at a time, that's a joke. The staff is also eating at the same restaurant as guests inside, at the same time - that's not normal. At one point we had a lunch, and they occupied 3-4 tables. They should have their own place to eat. Inside our room, the wooden doors were constantly banging even while closed due to strong wind and gaps - we had to pad folded paper in there to block them. The curtains could be darker, but this is an issue almost everywhere.

Beautiful architecture and beautiful beaches. Well-organized, good staff and good meat dishes. Decent quality alcoholic drinks. Cute night shows.

Room a little old could use a bit of renovation. When restaurants are busy, is a bit more difficult to get a drink refill by staff.

The hotel boasts beautiful scenery, and the views are undoubtedly its biggest highlight. However, the overall experience left me feeling rather disappointed. I can’t help but feel that only if you’re a white guest, you might receive excellent service and have a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, I’m not white, and my experience was quite average. It’s a shame that such a beautiful place didn’t live up to its potential when it came to hospitality. Beautiful views, but disappointing service.
