Excellent location, close to shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff, particularly Themba, who was happy to make restaurant reservations and book taxis for us. Good breakfast in an elegant dining room filled with period furniture.
The outdoor pool was a little difficult to access - steps would be an improvement.

A wonderful, spacious, tasteful place and great, quiet location. Rooms and bathrooms perfectly, breakfast is great!!! Staff is outstanding in everything!!!! Best stay in Stellenbosch centre!!!!! Top, top, top over all!!!!

The Batavia Hotel is a little gem in the heart of Stellenbosch. A skip away from the center, with charming, quirky decor, well-appointed rooms, amazingly friendly staff and just a delight all round. I've found my go-to place when travelling to that part of the Cape.

I was expecting a different room, the room we got wasn’t in the pictures, the room was however clean and comfortable
