Great location, short walk along river to centre. Very nice staff, nice food, dog friendly room.

No parking, had to move car about due to parking restrictions. Some road noise at night and no hairdryer in room.

I chose this property for the Cambridge 10k. Conveniently a few minutes walk from the start & finish line. It’s also a 30-minute scenic walk to the famous Cambridge sites. Lovely staff! Made sure they could help in anyway they can. I was allowed to check-in early which was something I really appreciated. There was a place where I could leave my bag after check-out. There’s a grocery store in front of it. Property itself was clean and spacious, with all basic amenities available. Pub downstairs had good food selections.

It can get noisy during dinner time because of the pub downstairs, but the pub closes at 23:00 so I knew it was not going to be an all night thing.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast ok, good coffee and generous size glasses of juice. Location is good for walking access to the city but parking is a problem unless you can find a side street that’s not either residential or charged.

Our room was too small for two adults for 4 nights. It was dusty, the windows wouldn’t open at all/ fully, the shelf above the sink meant you bang your head trying to wash your face or rinse your mouth as the sink is too small. Bathroom not thoroughly clean, especially the window sill. Scruffy stairwell and paintwork. There isn’t adequate space for clothes so we had to leave our things in our cases. The coffee machine was not clean, and mugs we used for tea were not washed up ready for the next day. I get that this is pub-led as it’s a pub with rooms but it’s a shame the rooms are not better looked after as the staff are great and the pub is nice.
