VR Hamilton

From the guest carpark into the hotel was dirty with smelly rubbish bins. Need a clean and paint, new rubber mats etc.

The rooms are big with windows that can be opened to let in fresh air. The hotel is located in centre of town so access to entertainment venues, etc is great.

On the day of checking out my key card is always deactivated about 9am. If I have more than one journey to clear my room I have to go to reception and get my card reactivated! My only complaint! The place is great!

We really enjoyed our stay at VR Hamilton Hotel. The location was fantastic, with plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops all within easy walking distance, which made getting around so convenient. The hotel itself is a beautiful heritage building full of charm and character with really large rooms. We loved the atmosphere and the unique feel of staying somewhere with so much history and personality. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily recommend VR Hamilton to anyone looking for somewhere central, convenient and full of character when visiting Hamilton. We would definitely stay here again!

One thing to be aware of is that the rooms aren't particularly soundproof, so we could hear some noise from the neighbouring room as well as traffic outside. However, this was easily managed with earplugs and didn't stop us from enjoying our stay.

Excellent location and very cheap for being in city centre .

I felt the carpets need a really good clean, not just sprinkled with ordouriser. The curtains are in a bad state of repair. Shower needs to be warmer.
