Hotel Des Alpes

Everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly, and a special shout out to the waitresses at the restaurant, wow! They worked so hard and provided exceptional customer service throughout our stay. The spa facilities are amazing, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The hotel is also in a great location, within close proximity to the centre. Everything was just perfect from start to finish. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we loved it!

Lovely location and close enough to walk to town. The restaurant was absolutely amazing (we ate there 3 out of 4 nights) and the staff was fantastic. Friendly and helpful.

Very small showers and difficult to keep water from getting all over the floor

A wonderful stay at a a very nice, traditional (not super new) hotel. The room was very nicely-sized, with all the amenities, and a full-on view of the Dolomite peaks in the morning sun. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Having free parking right outside the hotel was a huge plus! Breakfast was the standard offerings for this part of the world, but very tasty and fresh. We ate at the hotel restaurant, and while the menu is a bit limited, the food was excellent.

It is located outside of town, about 7 minutes drive downhill. So going into the old town realistically required driving...and parking (not simple with the crowds in Cortina). But then, being outside of the town made for a quieter experience.

The property was clean. We got the economy room since it was the only one available on the website. It worked well since we are not too large people were on the petite side. We had a car and it made it easy to get into town and back. We just paid for parking in town.

The staff were just honestly not very friendly. They weren’t mean. But like for breakfast it was more of like a military breakfast if you were told where to sit and you couldn’t sit anywhere else. Even though the restaurant was basically empty. And then the big drawback the biggest drawback, my husband and I are not smokers. I am very affected by cigarette smoke. The front desk manager said he would check the cameras and see what was causing all the smoke interestingly enough it was his staff and himself. I have videos to show the different staff going out there and taking their breaks out there. The economy rooms were all in one little corner of the hotel that happened to be a right above where the staff all come and take smoke breaks. So if it was a busy time of day, you were getting cigarette smoking 3-4 times an hour during the night, you probably got at three or four times during the night. And the smoke drifted right up into the room and just smell it up. A very easy fix would be relocate where the staff smokes their cigarettes, or put a fan blowing the cigarette smoke away from the rooms. I think if I had been for this cigarette smoke from the staff. I would’ve read this hotel 8/9. Only on the very last day did we get a laugh out of one of the dining room staff, it was honestly refreshing. The front desk manager, that said he would look at the surveillance video to see who was out there smoking, did provide us with a fan for our room, which was very helpful in getting the smoke out of the room faster. It required us to leave our door open the entire night.
