Hotel Brotas ADULT ONLY

A lovely, welcoming hotel offering excellent value for money We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bortas Hotel and would definitely return. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Their English was excellent, which made everything so much easier. A special mention must go to Freddy, the hotel dog, who was absolutely lovely! Our room was lovely, clean, tidy and reasonably modern. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, almost like a memory foam mattress. The shower was lovely and hot, although it did take a little while for the hot water to come through. Plenty of towels were provided, with fresh ones every three days. Breakfast was absolutely fine and exactly what we expected for the price. At around £50 a night, you're hardly expecting five-star dining! There was a good selection of typical Italian breakfast items, all fresh and tasty, and the coffee was particularly nice. The hotel is situated in what we'd describe as the quieter outskirts of Rimini. The surrounding area is reasonably busy during the day and evening, but nothing excessive, and traffic generally quietens down around midnight. Our room was reasonably quiet throughout our stay. Occasionally we could hear other guests moving around upstairs or passing by, but nothing more than you'd expect in an ordinary hotel. Overall, we found it peaceful and comfortable. Transport connections are very convenient. There's a bus stop just a couple of hundred metres away on the main road, and a railway station approximately 800 metres away, making it easy to get into the centre of Rimini without needing a car. Overall, we thought Bortas Hotel offered excellent value for money. It's clean, comfortable, welcoming and well connected, with genuinely lovely staff. Would we stay again? Absolutely! In fact, we're already considering returning next year. And, of course, we'd look forward to seeing Freddy again!

The location was good, very near to beach. Breakfast buffet was nice and value for money.

In the booking it mentioned in the facilities Air Conditioning, but it didn’t show that it is chargeable. When we checked in we realised AC is not functioning and on asking hotel staff they asked for a payment of 8€. We showed them our booking that here it is no where mentioned but they didn’t agree. We reached out to booking.com and they said that it should not be the case and they will send the mail to the hotel staff. But in the end they mentioned that everyone pays and as we needed it we had to pay. The matter should have been resolved between hotel and booking.com because to the user it doesn’t mention anywhere about it which is not good. Even the hotel should specifically mention it in the Room details and they should not hide it. Another thing, in the toilet the toilet paper was not replaced with new, there was one in spare but usually the one fitted is also replaced.
