The staff is very friendly and profesional, the food is excellent and the overall atmosphere lovely.
9 / 10Wyjątkowy·paź 2026
The Three Crowns in Chagford offers a hearty breakfast and a welcoming setting to start the day. Dinner showcases satisfying pub-style food, while the rooms combine historic character with comfortable touches for a relaxing stay.
The Three Crowns in Chagford has plenty of historic charm, but some rooms and facilities could feel a little dated and would benefit from refurbishment. Service and attention to detail could also be more consistent, particularly during busy periods.

Have stayed before - just a lovely bolt hole
Only thing that we missed was that during previous stays we could sit in the bar areas and read/ chat with a drink - but totally chocka with people eating ( totally understandable but like to just chill by the fire!!)

Nice location and nice building.
Staff not great - disinterested. and breakfast poor. Limited variety, not refilled.
