Parking in carport, bit tricky, but offered an alternative.

The room has 2 large comfortable beds. It was all very clean with appropriate linen and other personal hygiene necessities. The bathroom was roomy enough, as was the shower. Self-catering facilities worked well (microwave, electric kettle, toaster). Enough furniture for 2 people (table with 2 chairs, small 'study-type' desk with chair and an armchair. Small wardrobe & TV. Wi-fi worked but was a little slow. It was also very reasonably priced for the Gold Coast and within 10 minutes drive of Runaway Bay or Southport (equi-distant).

Access to the office - better to park out front and walk down the back, as turning a car when you get down there is rather tedious! The bathroom sliding door was not able to be locked and could be easily pushed back into the room. It's ok probably with close family members (or not?) but with casual friends, the uncertain privacy is an issue. The hotel (and our room, A) is right on a main road with a great deal of traffic passing by at all hours, along with emergency services. We stayed on a Friday night, so the local hoons were out and about gunning engines & ripping through gears as noisily as possible. There was a lot of external lighting, purple and green, making our room quite bright all night. Sadly, some other tenants were enjoying some very loud music as well, thankfully not past 10pm, but given I had to get up at 4am, it made sleeping and getting enough sleep difficult.

The cleanliness of the rooms exceeded my expectations! The location was excellent, within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. The receptionist was very kind and thoughtful. He called us twice after checkout because we had left something behind, which we really appreciated. We also brought our pet with us, and he was warmly welcomed. They even provided a bowl and sheets for him, which made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this place, especially to those travelling with pets!

Good location and polite and respectful host.

4 extremely large cockroaches 🪳 in the room throughout the stay. ( and overnight) Not much sleep and the mattress was too hard for my liking. The microwave did not heat on any setting. Seemed to be workingbut did not heat.
