Great simple stay in a good location in Quito. Manager was friendly and helpful (and patient with my bad-grammar Spanish) despite long hours. Walkable to La Floresta and only a block to a great laundry service for backpackers. Liked the covered courtyard.
Hot water was very consistent, persistent and plenty hot and comfortable for most, but those wanting scalding showers might be disappointed.

Its in a good location. The room was spacious.
The accom lacked atmosphere. the lights are always off, it felt like no one else was staying, a bit of a ghost house.
The area at night - you wouldn't want to walk round too late, it gets a bit rowdy. There was a fair bit of police presence, It felt unnerving.

Centrally located, the owner was very friendly and helpful.
Being on the 3 rd floor, small narrow room in the gables of the home. The shower head was very poor and it took forever to get hot water which unfortunately wasted a lot of water.

It's a very nice and comfy hostal at a great location in the city. The owner is super friendly, helpful and also speaks English. It got all you need to have a great stay in Quito.
