Rainforest Retreat

The location was perfect and so were the mountain views from our room! It was spotlessly clean and had everything we could want for our 2 night stay. Very peaceful.

Real friendly staff, fast resolution of problems, clean room

The room we booked was really comfortable and had all we required including a microwave and coffee pod machine.. the hot tub on the balcony was a real bonus after a long drive!! Breakfast was tasty and had all we required.. coffee was the best we’ve had in New Zealand.. dinner at the monsoon was absolutely amazing, very tasty and reasonably priced.. we really enjoyed our fish and chips (battered cod) and panko chicken schnitzel both very tasty… we’d also recommend the sticky date pudding for dessert !! Our waitress last night was really informative, friendly and helpful.. Staff were helpful and very friendly right from the beginning.. we will return here next time without a doubt!!!

Absolutely nothing..

The second room we moved to was beautiful, so it's hard to give this motel a good score. The staff were lovely and the second room was beautiful. The bathroom with its blue light under the bench was great meaning you didn't have to turn on the bathroom light if you needed to use the bathroom at night.

The first room we had (and yes, I booked it) was terrible due to the number of back packers that were staying at the property. There was lots of noise, and towel fighting outside outdoor. And while I understand young people who are travelling like to have fun, there are always others you need to be considerate of.
