Room, breakfast and location were all very good. Staff were friendly and helpful

The free parking at the rear of the hotel was a bonus. The pub had a lively, quirky atmosphere and the (deluxe) room was quite spacious and clean.

The location of the room, at the front, facing the high street above the bar, meant it was quite noisy. There was live music in the evening although this stopped around 10.30pm, and a truck outside woke us quite early. There was also noise from someone walking around at night in the room above.

Very nice atmosphere and good food

There are 48 stairs up to room 12 where we stayed. It can't be helped buy bear in mind if you book here rooms 11 to 15 have these stairs.

Location, had been before looking forward to a 2nd visit -bed very comfy liked the charging points staff very friendly lovely atmosphere

Wish we had asked for same room as before as even with arthritis I would of tackled the stairs- sorry to say room 5 needs a lot of TLC, we couldn’t get rid of audio subtitles on tv, no matter how much we tried, very noisy people above like children running around (not hotels fault I know) bathroom shower very small and not nice around bottom of door, toilet very slanted (I know it’s an old building) needs attention as with a bad back had to sit at an angle, bathroom door also didn’t shut properly, walls need attention , dinner was lovely breakfast was also lovely though waited a while to be served then again for it to arrive- sorry for the review but with some attention in the bathroom room 5 would be so much better 😔
