Central comfortable bed

We had two rooms, small hythe and Avalon. Small hythe at the front was very chilly, felt like there was a window open but there was not, not ideal unless you like a chilly bedroom. Avalon was comfortably warm. Shower in small hythe was great? Hot and powerful. Avalon was terrible drip of water and shower kept falling out of fitting, so not great.

The rooms were cosy and comfortable, with a great atmosphere. The location was fantastic, right on the high street, making it really convenient for exploring the area. A charming place to stay.

The staff seemed disinterested, and check-in was slow, with two staff members arguing over who would do check in (in front of us). The staff member who lost that particular argument eventually checked us in and asked us if we'd like to join them for the 'upsell breakfast'. lol. Another downside was that our room faced the street and it was noisy at night when people were hanging around very late.

Shower did t work and we’re not that responsive initially to fix. No food at pub, rooms dated.
