Willowbank House and Lodges

The owners, Aoife and Shaun, were simply the best. The views from the house were fabulous. The beds were comfy and all you needed in the room was in it. Hot water bottles in the room were a nice touch too. Myself and my two kids all went for the home-made pancakes, made by Shaun himself and we liked them so much we purchased the ingredients from him to make at home ourselves. We requested an extra bed and they put it in the room for us while we went out. There's a lovely lounge that you can sit, play games or just read a book, which they all have available. There's lodges out the back which can be rented out too.

Only thing was the long road into the house, but that's no fault of the owners.

Just an overall wonderful experience. Food and the hosts were excellent. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Eoife and Shaun were such wonderful hosts. They were very attentive and provided us with lots of help. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. They even had lovely biscuits in the room and have thought of everything you might need. The cooked breakfast was perfectly executed and the breakfast room had a lovely view of the water. A really enjoyable stay with very friendly hosts.

A bit of a narrow road out to the property and a few stairs to navigate with our big bags, but did not spoil our visit.
