The Mitre Hotel Brighton

It was all very good, exceptional value for money. We were at a gig on Saturday night, so we wanted an easy, overnight stay that was near the venue. The location was perfect, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good, with a lot available. The room was a good size, very clean and we were surprised to see a fridge in the wardrobe too. For a one off stay, you can't go wrong.

The only thing that didn't work for us was that the bed & pillows were a bit too soft! So we did both wake up with back & neck ache. But that's probably a completely personal thing. We're used to a very firm mattress & pillow. So I think, if we were to stay again we would bring our own pillow, which would help eliviate that issue for us. But it definitey wouldn't stop us booking again, as everything else was just right :)

the area was ok not bad room was ok draws was a bit dusy but other wise good.

the sheets

The room was absoluetly lovely, basic but exactly what we needed for a 1 night stay. It was clean and comfortable and smelt lovely when we walked in which is always nice!!

Not an issue per say but just a note that there is no parking HOWEVER the regency square car park just down the road has 24 hr parking and we paid for that which worked perfectly. Nothing to do with the hotel but just a point if you have a car with you.

Good location

Poor breakfast, very basic room
