Richmond Hotel Nagoya Nayabashi

Everything! Location was great! -Bus line was right outside the hotel -Walking distance to many different subway lines and stations -Easy for GoTaxi to pickup and drop off. My expectations for the room size surprised me. Room was a really good size for me and was very clean and I’d say modern. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was fully functional with a bidet and a deep bathtub to soak in. Amenities were fantastic! -Individual toiletries were very convenient. (Variety of Bath Salts, Face Oil, Cleanser, Toner and Moisturizer. Body scrub cloth) they had so much more however those were my nightly grabs. -Water station on my floor (hot,room temp and cold). -Ice & Vending machines room. -Laundry facilities was a nice bonus. Although you needed to have 5- 100 yen coins to wash & dry a load. The machines already included detergent and possibly softener l. My clothes were completely dry and smelled nice and fresh. (I’ve had bad experiences at other countries with laundry so this was really a great experience).

I feel like the breakfast buffet price could have been priced lower or if they created some sort of discount if you stayed 3 days or more. I was there for 5 days. I opted to enjoy the great eateries around the area.

The location, the amenities and easy walk through

Nice and clean

The location is pretty good with a not too long walk into Nagoya central, but I find Nagoya itself a little lacking. I can't put my finger on it I'm afraid, but there is juts something missing compared to the other places I stayed on my trip. The castle is good, but the Maglev was a bit of a letdown and is a 30 minute train journey away. Great for kids though with lots for them to play with. The total ahas an attached restaurant where the food is pretty decent, but as would be expected dearer than eating out.

As stated I just find Nagoya a little dull having been twice. I was hoping to find it different 6 years later, it wasn't.
