University House - ANU

Loved the mid-century furniture to match the interesting building, the courtyard and view from our room, having a study adjacent to the bedroom, and convenient cafe downstairs. Location is wonderful - we walked down to the lake and dropped into the National Museum after breakfast, and wandered across the road from ANU for a fantastic meal at Rebel Rebel and a movie at the nearby cinema the night before. Looking forward to my next stay.

I didn't realise we were up three flights of stairs with no lift. I would have taken a smaller bag up with me if I'd known! Will be prepared next time.

Big and comfortable rooms newly renovated. Beautiful gardens.

Location was a bit far from shops and public transport. A physical credit card was required at check-in.

Our room was excellent the location very useful and having the cafe/restaurant on site was a bonus for dinner especially. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a touch of luxury.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like would thoroughly recommend to other travellers.

The bed was comfortable and the room clean.

The bathroom had a chemical smell that went through to the bedroom. The room was very hot given the bedding was a thick quilt. The room didn’t have the lovely 50’s feel I was expecting.
