Pleasant room lovely gardens

No WiFi code. The host was called away and unable to provide breakfast but contacted us before arrival and we agreed a discount.

There was a fan in the room which was so welcome but when it was on there was a bright light coming from it, so ended up switching it off. Was a very hot night.

A simple bedroom ensuite with tea/ coffee making, water and fan. So so clean. Breakfast was lovely and the coffee excellent.

Nothing

I was providing a hog roast for a party in St Albans which couldn't have been closer (just 1 min away), and there were a couple of local pubs...the one I went to was just a short walk away. The hosts were extremely friendly, and we had good conversations over breakfast. Viv also kindly allowed me to use her oven to cook some vegetarian meals that I needed to take with me to the event I was catering.

Although the bedroom had a wardrobe, it was full of clothes with no space for any of their guest's clothes. The chest of drawers also had items in, so I kept everything in my bag. The shared bathroom was very clean, but there was no separate shower (just a shower attachment to the taps, which I used to wash my hair). The garden looked very neat and tidy, with a patio. It would have been nice to sit outside in the sun, but guests are unable to go there. Likewise, apart from sitting at the breakfast table (for breakfast) guests are unable to use any of the rooms to relax in, except their bedroom.
