The hospitality and attention to detail. Jean Francois (owner)asked for the time of our arrival and made it a point to be that to meet us for our arrival. He gave us a tour of the Riad, which was so beautifully decorated and maintained. His staff (Samira, Nadia, and Ibrahim) were so very lovely! Marrakech was fun but I can honestly say that Riad Soundass was the best part of our trip. We felt so at home and it was just so nice. We would return here in a heartbeat!

We received a very warm welcome from Mohammed. Our room was exactly as described in the photo. We had a little private terrace which was lovely. The Riad is just off the main thoroughfare in the old medina, so it is a perfect location within the medina walls to browse the stalls and sample some lovely food and desserts. The breakfast was delicious with a boiled egg, home made pancake and messemen, fresh fruit, orange juice, mint tea, and cheese triangles. There was honey, jam, and marmalade to spread onto the bread. We only were able to stay in Rabat for one night, but enjoyed the genuine hospitality in Riad El Bir.

Overall everything was excellent, but if I had to find a small thing, the toilet rocked a little bit and could be made more stable, and as typical in Morocco there was very weak water pressure from the shower, but it is definitely usable.

It was a good location and quiet. It is beautiful and breakfast was very good.

The rooms looked lovely but one had no window and no air con. We then moved to a much larger one where sadly there was no toilet seat. It all was clean.
