We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Agriturismo Il Casolare di Nonno Mario. From the moment we arrived, Ida and Luciano made us feel so welcome. They are incredibly kind, friendly people, always smiling and genuinely happy to help with anything we needed. The entire property was exceptionally clean and beautifully cared for. One of the highlights for us was spending time with Ida and Luciano and learning about the history of the farm and their family. That personal connection made our stay even more special and gave us a wonderful glimpse into life in this part of Abruzzo. And the breakfast was over the top! Everything was wonderful, and Ida makes an absolutely fantastic cappuccino. It was the perfect way to start each morning. More than anything, this is the kind of place where you feel like you are being welcomed into someone’s home rather than simply staying at a hotel. We left feeling that we had not only found a beautiful place to stay, but had also met some truly wonderful people. Brenda and I would absolutely stay here again and hope we have the opportunity to return someday. We cannot recommend Agriturismo Il Casolare di Nonno Mario highly enough. Thank you, Ida and Luciano, for making our time in Abruzzo so memorable!

Un agriturismo immerso nel verde per un soggiorno tranquillo e di puro relax. Siamo stati accolti con grande calore e gentilezza, la camera era un gioiellino, pulita, spaziosa, un bel bagno, la colazione fatta in casa eccezionale, abbiamo provato anche la piscina che è sicuramente un plus per rilassarsi dopo una giornata fuori. Un soggiorno praticamente perfetto, sicuramente torneremo.

Our stay was wonderful. The family who runs the property are kind and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of fruits, pastries, meats, cheeses and eggs which varied daily. Daniello (the son) speaks limited English and we speak limited Italian, so we were able to communicate well. The pool was refreshing after a long day of exploring. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal which was nice because after exploring for the day in the heat, we didn’t want to go out again.

The only issue we had, but we are Americans not used to the extreme heat without air conditioning, is that the air conditioning was in the kitchen area and didn’t reach the bedroom area well. We did ask for a fan, which they quickly provided, and that helped a lot. Also, the water pressure is low in the shower, but otherwise the bathroom was perfect and clean. It would be nice to have throw pillows in the little bed in the kitchen to make it like a couch area. You do need a car, as you are a few miles out in the country but it’s an easy drive into town, restaurants, grocery and major roads.
