NOZARU ONSEN HOSTEL

The room was very big and had a very Japanese Inn feeling to it. The futon was comfortable and if the bedding is not enough, you can take more if you want to. For the size of the room, it was quite cheap. I was there in summer, so I cannot comment on the heating in winter. There is also an onsen they have which is really not bad, though slightly getting into its years. Though that can be said for the whole hostel. It seemed to be managed by only two people, so I can understand why.

I had to upgrade my room for 1000¥ to get my own toilet. Otherwise you will have to go to the one on the first floor. I did not know that, so it was an unexpected cost.

Had a very nice stay there and you can use the hostels super hot Onsen for free. Good value for money.

The heater didn’t work at first, but friendly staff could help me. Onsen could be cleaner but is ok.

I liked the location, the onsen and the staff.

It was very dark, kind of creepy. We were on the 3rd or 4th floor. I do not recall. There was no shower in our room so I had to come down and wash up where the onsen is kept. It was very dimly lit and honestly, walking up the stairs in the dark, creeped me out. There was no AC either, only fans.
