Hostel Durres

Great location near the town centre and restaurants, with a short walk to the port-side beach, Byzantine Forum, Roman amphitheatre and Venetian Tower — perfect for exploring Durrës on foot. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The communal facilities were pretty good: a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge for guests, a comfortable lounge and pleasant outside seating. The shower had good temperature and water flow, and extra pillows and blankets were provided in the wardrobe. Breakfast was included and nice enough. Note: cash only.

The room was too hot, though an electric fan was provided. Furnishings were minimal — only one chair. The bathroom had a wobbly sink and toilet, and the shower doors open very narrowly. I got bitten during my stay, which I suspect may have been bed bugs, though dorm renovations with new beds and mattresses were clearly underway. Breakfast was only served 8–10am and was a restricted single plate, so I only made it once.

This is a fantastic hostel. Great location from the bus station and not too far from the beach. I did walk about half hour to find a quieter spot on the beach as it was extremely busy with sunbeds packed onto the beaches. The hostel staff were really friendly and helpful. I stayed in a four bunk room which was great. There is a nice vibe at the hotel with a garden where people sat and socialised.

No privacy curtain on bed but this wasn’t a huge issue as I used a sheet

Niezbyt czysto, zimno w pokoju i brak klimatyzacji. Łazienka brzydko pachniała i strach bylo pod prysznic wejść.
